Detailed Description

You can't fix what you don't notice. Most coaches have no idea they're crossing their arms when clients discuss difficult topics, or that they lean away slightly when hearing something uncomfortable.

Your facial expressions, posture, and movement patterns constantly send messages. Sometimes those messages contradict what you're trying to create in the coaching space. A client talks about their fear of judgment while you unconsciously raise your eyebrows—they've just been judged, whether you meant it or not.

This program uses video recording extensively. You'll watch yourself coach and it will be uncomfortable at first. You'll see the nervous habits, the defensive postures, the moments where your face reveals what you're thinking before you've decided whether to say it.

Building Intentional Presence

We work on neutral attentiveness—the ability to stay physically open and receptive without performing enthusiasm or faking engagement. There's a specific quality of stillness that communicates focus without rigidity.

You'll practice congruent messaging where your body supports your words rather than contradicting them. If you're inviting someone to be vulnerable, but your posture is closed and your breathing is shallow, that invitation rings hollow.

The mirroring and matching section teaches subtle techniques for building rapport through body language synchronization. This isn't about mimicking someone awkwardly. It's about finding organic ways to create physical resonance that makes the coaching relationship feel safer.
